Dear Parishioners,
With profound gratitude, I extend my deepest thanks to all who have answered our call to serve as Extraordinary Ministers and Ushers, embodying the love and generosity of Christ in our parish community. We are thrilled to welcome 26 new Extraordinary Ministers to the Homebound, 11 Extraordinary Ministers for Mass, and 6 Ushers, each of whom has stepped forward to share in the sacred mission of bringing Christ’s presence to others. Your commitment resonates deeply with this week’s Gospel, Luke 11:1-13, where Jesus teaches us the power of persistent prayer and trust in God’s abundant grace. Just as the disciples sought to learn prayer from Jesus, your “yes” to these ministries is a living prayer, a testament to seeking and responding to God’s call with open hearts.
This outpouring of service calls to mind the saints we have been honoring in the bulletin. Your dedication as Extraordinary Ministers shares the Body of Christ with those at Mass and with those who are homebound, offering them spiritual nourishment and companionship, while our Ushers provide a warm welcome, guiding our community in worship with grace and care. These acts of service, both great and small, weave us together as a vibrant Body of Christ, reflecting the saints’ legacy of selfless devotion.
If you still feel the gentle nudge of the Holy Spirit to join these vital and growing ministries, I warmly encourage you to reach out to the parish office or complete a ministry volunteer form. Your unique gifts and willingness to serve will strengthen our community, helping us to live out the Gospel’s call to “knock, and the door will be opened” (Luke 11:10). As we continue to grow in faith and service, let us trust in God’s promise that those who seek and ask will receive abundant blessings. Thank you for being the hands and feet of Christ in our parish, and may God continue to guide and bless your generous efforts.
In Christ’s Love,
Fr. Jay
